New Porter Routes Will Take Flight from MET Airport in Montréal!

For decades, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport has been the city’s primary gateway. But now, a second airport is stepping into the spotlight: Montréal Metropolitan Airport (MET), located just 15 minutes from downtown in Longueuil.
With a brand-new terminal and a focus on speed, comfort, and convenience, MET is ready to offer travellers a modern alternative for domestic flights, and Porter Airlines is leading the charge.
A New Era for Montréal Airports
For years, Montréal has effectively relied on a single major commercial airport. While that works, it also limits competition, route options, and travel experiences. MET is changing that by introducing:
- Faster airport experiences – shorter check-in and security lines, and with just nine gates, getting to your flight is quick and easy.
- Central convenience – only a half-hour from Old Montréal and the downtown business district. If you’re taking the metro/bus, you can catch the 428 express RTL bus to the Longueuil/Universite-de-Sherbrooke Metro station and take the Yellow (#4) line to the central Berri-UQAM station where you can easily connect to Montréal’s other Metro lines.
